Wax mock up cost - Is this normal or should I find another dentist?

I have my top 8 teeth already veneered and want to now do the bottom 6. I need the diagnostic wax up done. The dentist wants to charge me $3000 for this. Is this normal or should I find another dentist?

I have a couple of questions: 1. Is it including a smile try-on session using the wax mock up prior to the prep appointment? If that is a 1-2 hour appointment it could be worth your time and money (although I don’t normally recommend it for the lower, just the user). If it is not, the wax up alone fee of 3,000 is definitely on the high side. I normally charge 650 for half or partial smile and 1,250 for full mouth wax up. 2. Is this the same dentist that did your upper veneers? If so, are you happy with them? If so, you may want to stay with him or her but just ask for clarifications on all the fees involved in your smile restoration process so you can be comfortable with your decision.
