I have a very muscular build, had fat removed from my lower back with skin tightening but I think too much was taken out so now it sags weird and creases. What can be done? If they take more out it would be worse or maybe take from the top back for a smoother transition. I rather have my love handles back so I'm open to have fat put back from my upper back to smooth the transition up to my butt so it looks normal. Any suggestion's ?
Answer: The problem isn't that too much fat was removed The problem is that your back skin is loose and the surgeon told you that a energy based device could tighten skin. What's done is done, and replacing fat will never look good regardless of what you said about your regret. Your only path forward is ignoring it and moving on or an upper body lift, which will smooth it out completely; the resultant scar would be at the bra line.

Answer: Revision Liposuction, Massage & Fat Grafting Can Help Correct Lower Back Irregularities Thank you for sharing your photos and detailed explanation. The good news is: Yes, this can be improved. ✅ A revision liposuction session focused on smoothing the transition zones (especially between upper and lower back) can help greatly.✅ Fat grafting to the surrounding area may be needed to restore volume and soften creases.✅ Post-liposuction massage therapy (2–3 times a week) is also key in helping prevent fibrosis, mobilize tissue, and refine the outcome. You’re not alone in this concern — and a customized secondary treatment plan can go a long way in getting you the smoother, more natural contour you’re after. Best regards,Dr. M. Answer: Lipo revision Thanks for your question! Additional liposuction could be done below the crease to help soften it. You could also consider something like Venus Legacy for some moderate skin tightening. If all else fails, you may need skin excision surgery (but that seems extreme for your body). Good luck!

Answer: LIPOSUCTION REVISION Thank you for sharing your photos and details. In cases like this, options may include fat grafting to restore volume and smooth the contour, or a skin excision (such as an upper or lower back lift) to address redundancy. Additional fat removal is unlikely to help and could worsen the issue.A consultation with a plastic surgeon experienced in body contouring would be the best next step to assess what approach suits you.

Answer: Plastic surgery outcomes To make a quality assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure we generally need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took.Skin laxity can limit someone’s potential for quality Liposuction outcomes. If we don’t know what your skin condition was like before that we can’t really assess the outcome.I generally always treat the entire back if doing liposuction of the abdomen waste and love handles. If the back isn’t treated, then the patient comes out looking like a wedge. It’s not a good feminine look and looks more masculine. Well done, Liposuction of your entire back and under arm area would probably be beneficial.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
