Is there a time frame where Kenalog Injections are useful to eliminate scar tissue? At what time to Kenalog Injections become useless? When is the best time to get a Kenalog Injection?

I injected a lady 2 years after someone else's Rhinoplasty, and to my surprise her tip looked better, so 6 weeks later I injected her again with a good result so that she didn't need a Revision operation.
I normally inject at 3 months, but I know of a surgeon who sometimes starts after 1 week.

Kenalog injections are a double edged sword.  While they can reduce swelling and inflammation and scar burden, they can thin the skin, create telangiectasias and skin discoloration.  They must be used judiciously and in the nose, quite deep to the skin.

What is the timing for Kenalog injections after rhinoplasty? it takes 6 to 8 weeks to build up scar tissue after a rhinoplasty. I generally begin steroid injection after approximately four months but I know of surgeons who do it in as little as one month postop and I know of others who wait at least a year. I have used steroid injection to the tip and the area above the tip called the supratip as late as 10 years after surgery with a good result. Steroid injection not only shrinks scar tissue but atrophies normal tissue as well, which is why it can have an effect even years after rhinoplasty.
