Septoplasty recovery, need for rhinoplasty in future? (Photo)

Question

I had a septoplasty, FESS(B), NP (B), Conchotomy (B) in one surgery, 20th July. I was actually far too sick to consider anything cosmetic at the time of undergoing these procedures and I now wonder if I've lost my chance for rhinoplasty to fix my dorsal hump? Also wondering if the septoplasty was effective since my nostrils look exactly the same as before surgery. How would I check for this?

Hello, You still have a chance for rhinoplasty procedure to improve your nose shape and remove the dorsal hump. It is better for you to consult a facial plastic surgeon who can examine you, check your nasal septum and discuss what changes can be made to your nose with rhinoplasty procedure.

It sounds that you were candidate for septo-rhinoplasty from the beginning. Strangely that such an option was not brought to your attention by your septoplasty surgeon? However, rhinoplasty can be performed without any problems, 6 months and longer after septum surgery. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, expert in rhinoplasty, is recommended. Good luck.
