Does CO2 laser thin your skin?

Hello dear dictors Does Co2 laser (fractional /ablative) makes the skin thinner ? And is it only temporarily thinner during the healing phase? Because I thought the co2 laser treatment makes the skin thicker as it stimulates new collagen synthesis. The co2 laser device was Co2re by candela /on fusion mode /for whole face abd eyelids 4 months ago for a white female (30 yrs).
