Is there any way to make my chin and the overall lower lip situation better? I have thin and prolonged face and the lower part of my face is really making it longer. Thank you!
Answer: Facial Balance If you are concerned with how long and thin your face appears, some carefully placed dermal fillers can help add balance. For patients with a long thin face, treating the cheeks with filler can help "shorten" the face. Filler along the jaw can also help create balance. Our eyes see symmetry as beauty. Minor enhancements can create more symmetry in your unique features. I recommend scheduling a consultation with an experienced injector to discuss your facial features and how to best balance them.

Answer: Can I make my chin shorter? From the photos and stated concerns it seems you would like to see your facial features blend more harmoniously. Lip filler can help to give you the desired volume to the lips. You may want to consider treatments such as Morpheus8 to help improve skin tone and texture. Your chin cannot be shortened with fillers, but with small changes elsewhere you may feel your features are in better balance.

Answer: There are several surgical and non-surgical options to consider There are several surgical and non-surgical options to consider when looking to improve the appearance of the lower face, including the chin and lips. 1. Chin augmentation: This is a surgical procedure where an implant is placed to give the chin more prominence and balance the facial features. 2. Chin reduction: For those with a more prominent or long chin, a surgical chin reduction can help improve the balance of the face. 3. Injectable fillers: These can be used to add volume to the lips and surrounding areas, creating a fuller, more balanced look. They can also be used in the chin area for a non-surgical chin augmentation. 4. Lip lift: This surgical procedure shortens the space between the nose and the upper lip to make the lips appear fuller and more prominent. 5. Botox: This can be used to relax the muscles around the mouth, reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. 6. Orthognathic Surgery: In some cases, if the lower part of the face is excessively long due to a skeletal issue, jaw surgery may be considered. 7. Liposuction: If there's excess fat in the lower face or under the chin, liposuction may help to create a more defined, balanced look. It's important to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns and explore the best treatment options for you. They can provide a thorough evaluation and discuss the potential benefits, risks, and costs associated with each option. They can also help you set realistic expectations about the potential results.

Answer: It's about proportions You have beautiful chin and lip profile based on the photos attached. There is absolutely nothing to shorten as your chin is super proportional. I suggest increasing the volume of you lips to make them fuller, and that will be more balanced with the chin and maybe will take away the feeling of your chin dominating the lower part of your face. Consider micro botox for the lower face to soften and lift and also skin tightening to achieve a more defined and toned profile. Best,Dr.Anna Avaliani, NYC
