I am a 37 year old female. I have had 3 c sections. I had a tummy tuck and 360 lipo two years ago. There is wrinkling in my lower abdomen and some fat that remains. Is this possible to revise? Thank you
Answer: Abdomen Even though you only posted one phot, you still might be a candidate for a revision. Go back and discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

Answer: Mini tuck or /revision Dear Mocha Mammi, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Do I need a revision? Further photos or an in person exam is needed to advise if you are a candidate. If there is excess fat some liposuction should give you improvement. The wrinkling isn't evident in your photo. At two years post op you are fully healed and can consider a revision if indicated.

Answer: Revision Based on your pictures and in my experience, it looks like you are a great candidate for a revision. Of course, an « in patient » consultation is necessary. Best of luck !

Answer: Unhappy with tummy tuck results I think I’ve been dressed your concerns before. I suggest including proper before, and after pictures in order to get a better quality assessment, and possibly useful recommendations. You can certainly talk to black surgeons about having revision surgery. You probably won’t have a hard time finding someone willing to do it for you. Whether a revision is worth it. In the end it is another story. With age we loose skin elasticity, and without the stretchiness of our skin that we have in our youth, it’s hard to pull the skin tight during a full tummy tuck and still be able to stand up straight. When you bend forward, the skin becomes redundant and skin folds form. This is true for everyone but it’s going to be worse on those who’ve lost skin elasticities due to age. Simply pulling your skin tighter isn’t going to bring back the elasticity you once had. Do you have skin laxity on your back as well. This is both likely due to loss of elasticities, or potentially due to weight fluctuations get those have been part of your past. Cosmetic surgery can give quality improvement, but there are also inherent limitations in what procedures can and cannot accomplish. While cosmetic surgery may give them more youthful result, and can reverse some pregnancy related changes. It’s not the same as having a young body with all of the benefits that entails. I suggest you follow up with your provider or schedule a few in person second opinion consultations with other plastic surgeons in the community. To me, your tummy tuck looks like it was done fairly typically, and represents results. Most patients should be content with without knowing what you look like before the procedure, we can’t really assess the outcome properly. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
