Hi - this is my face before and during smiling. I can't tell if I'm a candidate for botox or if I just have a fat face. If the former (botox), where would I have it done? Would this be a crow's feet treatment?
Answer: Will Botox work? Botox works by affecting the injected muscle's ability to contract. Botox injected into the areas that concern you would affect your smile and would not be desired. You can consider Morpheus8 which uses RF technology combined with microneedling to improve overall skin tone and texture. Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Botox candidate Hi! The lines in your face when you smile would best be treated with a treatment called SkinVive or Radiesse. The products will smooth out the lines and make the face look smooth when you smile. The crows feet (around the eyes) are treated with botox, as well as the lines in the forehead.

Answer: Treating Parallel Laugh Lines: Consider: A Low Viscosity, Cohesive, Malleable HA Filler From the photos provided, the lines that appear with smiling are most consistent with what we call "parallel" lines. They are not crows feet (which are more like parallel smile lines to the sides of eyes). If this is indeed so, the use of a low viscosity, cohesive, malleable HA filler appropriately injected and fanned beneath them to buttress the area would be the treatment of choice. Botox placed in the area, on the other hand, would likely lead to adversely affecting your smile. You would be wise to consult a board certified cosmetic dermatologist filler expert. Best of luck.

Answer: Botox Candidate The photos you provided seems to be your nasolabial folds that you're unhappy with. Crows feet refers to the lines/wrinkles around your eye when you smile. To treat nasolabial folds, we recommend dermal filler possibly directly in the lines as well as deeper. Also, RF Microneedling such as SylfirmX will help tighten and lift your skin.

Answer: Will Botox Help these lines? The simple answer to your question is “no”. The reason you have these lines is because of your acne scars coalescing while you smile, forming an indentation in the skin. This is also caused by the fact that your face is very thin with very little fat in it immediately under the skin. This can be corrected or at least improved upon by means of fat grafting and possibly some of the skin fillers. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery.
