25 years old - Am I too young for Renuva? (photo)

Question

25(F) turning 26. I have lost significant elastin and fat in my face due to aging and recent weight loss. It looks completely different than it did years ago and I believe that much of this Is due to fat and volume loss. I was told I am too young for renuva and that it won’t work on me. Is this true and if so would nano fat grating be a better option? Thanks

Renuva or you own fat can be used at any age for fat loss in the face and is a better long term option. Than filler. If you have enough fat for fat transfer ( most patients of normal body weight do have enough fat, your own fat is the best option.

Hi, thanks for sharing your photo. It’s hard to see significant volume loss in your photo and without seeing a photo of you from before the weight loss. However, I do see a lot of younger patients with facial volume loss after weight loss. At such a young age you are a great candidate for fat grafting using your own fat - this will not only add volume but it will rejuvenate your skin. I frequently do fat grafting in the office under local anesthesia. Hope this helps!

Hi!  There is no age restriction for fillers, Renuva, or fat injections. You’re a pretty girl and have a mild issue with volume loss so Renuva would be a great option and so would fat transfer.  Nano fat is usually used for skin quality improvement or improvement in scars so if you want volume, I would look for micro fat injection. Good Luck.

At your age (25–26), it’s quite common to notice subtle changes in facial fullness&mdash;especially after significant weight loss. What you describe sounds like volume and elasticity reduction, which can often be improved effectively without aggressive intervention.
Renuva can be a good option for patients with mild to moderate fat loss; however, in younger patients, the regenerative response may be less pronounced. This doesn’t mean it “won’t work,” but rather that the results might not be as dramatic as in older individuals with more depleted fat tissue.
Nano fat grafting, on the other hand, can be an excellent choice in your case. It uses your own fat&mdash;processed to a cellular level&mdash;to restore volume and stimulate natural collagen and elastin production. This technique provides subtle, natural, and long-lasting improvement in facial texture and contour, while also enhancing skin quality.
I often combine nano fat with PRP or stem cell–enriched fat for patients like you who want regenerative effects without overfilling or creating an “artificial” look.
