2.5 years post closed rhinoplasty (thick nasal skin) Is this swelling normal? (Photos)

Hello, so i had a closed rhinoplasty with a surgeon and i am now 2.5 years post the surgery. I have thick nasal skin also. I am concerned because I’ve had this swelling on the sides of my bridge (and some on the tip) and I am not sure if it’s normal after all this time. I tried sharing my concerns with my surgeon but he didn’t want to discuss it and was very dismissive. I would love to just get a peace of mind that I haven’t been botched and that this swelling will go down in time.

You do have a narrow nose but actually reducing the dorsal hump will make the nose look less narrow because it is decreasing the anterior projection. You appear to be an excellent candidate for a rhinoplasty. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

If the only thing that bothers you is the caudal septum then you can just correct this. However, looking at your photographs, I recommend a rhinoplasty and septoplasty. Your dorsum is irregular, the nasal columella angle is incorrect and needs to be elevated. You will most likely not need...
