I want to go with a 150 or 175 cc, my current breast size is about a 32 C or and I'm happy with a C cup but I just want a very subtle change in size. I want a very natural look and feel but want a little pop or enhance what I naturally have. Almost like a soft push up bra effect. Open to thoughts/suggestions. My plastic surgeon suggests going above the muscle because I exercise, yoga, surf, and have enough tissue. do you think this would look and feel natural?

Typically if patients are wanting a natural look the recommendation is to place the implant below the muscle. There are a few reasons for this. The muscle helps to disguise the upper portion of the implant where the edges then will not be seen or felt. Under the muscle gives a more natural look and also carries a lower risk of capsular contracture. Patients who elect to have their implants placed beneath the muscle are able to routine to active lifestyles once they have healed and have been cleared by their surgeon.

Answer: Breast augmentation Thank you for your question. Based on the limited picture, I think you will get a great result with an implant that is smaller than 200 cc. This will provide approximately 1 cup size increase, but will not look “overdone.” if you have enough tissue at the top of the breast, then the implant should be nicely camouflaged. Another option is to go with a slightly smaller implant than you had originally intended and camouflage. The implant even more with fat grafting. Good luck.
