Can a young patient (20y/o) choose to have a direct brow lift?

I am a transgender patient with low brows I would rather have a DIRECT brow lift rather than a endoscopic brow lift I would not mind scars as long as they are not super visible.

Irregular Trichophytic Forehead Lift to lift the entire brow without an evil look! I invented this technique and have done more than 2000. It does not leave a noticeable scar since hair grows thru the scar and no evil look. Make sure you see the actual hairline with the hair pulled back! This is what I’ve used on the my TG patients as well as others.

Hello and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, without a photo, it’s difficult to make concrete recommendations. I will say, however, that many plastic surgeons advise against a full brow lift in young patients because scarring will always be more apparent than in older patients. This is because older patients with advanced skin laxity already have creases that can help hide scarring. An endoscopic brow lift can produce exceptional results with minimal scarring. I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon to learn more about your treatment options.

Direct brow lifts are best for older patients where we can hide the incisions in the natural creases of the forehead. In younger patients, or older patients without deep forehead creases, there is no place to hide the forehead incisions and they will always be visible even if they are tucked into the upper edge of the eyebrow hair. For this reason we always do endoscopic brow lifts for our younger patients and the large majority of our older patients. The endoscopic brow lift is an excellent operation as the incision are hidden in the hairline, no skin is removed, the entire forehead and brow can be lifted and shaped to achieve your desired outcome, and healing is quick. For most patients the endoscopic brow lift is a superior operation and is the approach we use in more than 95% of all of our brow lifts.
