Can a young patient (20y/o) choose to have a direct brow lift?

Hello and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, without a photo, it’s difficult to make concrete recommendations. I will say, however, that many plastic surgeons advise against a full brow lift in young patients because scarring will always be more apparent than in older patients. This is because older patients with advanced skin laxity already have creases that can help hide scarring. An endoscopic brow lift can produce exceptional results with minimal scarring. Direct brow lifts are best for older patients where we can hide the incisions in the natural creases of the forehead. In younger patients, or older patients without deep forehead creases, there is no place to hide the forehead incisions and they will always be visible even if they are tucked into the upper edge of the eyebrow hair.
