First, what do you yourselves think about the asymmetry? Is it possible to even everything out? The bottom of my nose is lopsided and seems to be pointing in a downward and to the left direction. There must be a way to fix this.
Answer: Cleft lip nasal deformity For someone with a cleft lip, you actually look really good. The only thing I see is that the base of your right nostril is wider than the left. That can be improved with surgery, but exact symmetry may not be possible.

Answer: Uneven nostrils from cleft lip and palate A cleft lip and palate deformity significantly affects the nose. The bone, cartilage and skin are all involved and asymmetries are very common. Cleft rhinoplasty usually involves a technique where we open the nose to allow exposure of the asymmetries. Stitches are often used along with cartilage and in some cases bone grafts to improve the shape. There are a number of sub techniques that are utilized and a good exam is necessary. Any information from previous surgeries will allow us to recommend the best management plan for your individual situation.

Answer: Cleft Rhinoplasty Cleft Lip and Palate Rhinoplasty surgery is a challenging endeavor due to the relative shortage of tissue. However corrections and improvement can be made in nearly all patients who previously underwent correction of a cleft lip and palate. An examination in person is needed to determine the needs of each patient. As I tell all rhinoplasty patients, cleft or not, perfection can never be guaranteed. We aim for measurable, significant improvement, that often meets or exceeds our patients goals.
