6 years ago I had suprapubic lipectomy with no complications. I had TT w/o muscle repair almost 4 years ago with many complications including excessive blood loss and wound infection. I still have painful lumps that feel like internal splinters. Is it possible to have minimal revision surgery without redoing entire TT and separating abdominal skin again? CT had no diagnosis. Could there be pseudobursa without it showing up? Have seen mixed opinions on revision surgery for pain...

Answer: Tummy tuck revision Dear xc1,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Is it possible to have minimal revision surgery without redoing entire TT and separating abdominal skin again? (photo) Thanks for the question and pictures. The problem you so well presents is common after multiple surgeries. The is likely scar within the flap which is isolated and creating contour irregularities. The correct approach would be to revise the scar but also have subcision of depressed areas performed along with gentle lipo eg. VASER to the high spots. All this is possible to be done assuming the surgeon is experienced in doing so. Good luck.
