How much would tip rhinoplasty cost?

Rhinoplasty prices vary greatly
because the rhinoplasty procedure itself encompasses a wide range of
techniques that can be performed to different extents.Therefore the cost
range is pretty wide from $6000-$12,000. My recommendation is to first
find qualified surgeons   that are board certified by the American Board
of Plastic Surgery or the American Board of Otolaryngology. Find one or
two surgeons you trust, then compare prices between them. Factors that
influence the price include:
1. Location - Will it be performed in a hospital with an overnight
stay, an independent out- patient facility or a doctors office?
2. Type of Anesthesia -  IV sedation or General Anesthesia? Will a
board certified anesthesiologist or a nurse anesthetist be used, or an
RN?
    
 
3. Experience and training of your surgeon. The best
trained (and longest) would be a surgeon board  certified by the
American Board of Plastic Surgery, but also consider American Board of
Otolaryngology trained surgeons
    
 4. Length and Complexity of
Surgery - Tip Rhinoplasty only or complete rhinoplasty, open or closed
technique, deviated septum repair,or breathing problems corrected, , how
long, ?etc

 Correction of a tip usually requires a full rhinoplasty because you will change the relationship of the tip and the remainder of the nose. See a very experienced rhinoplasty surgeon who understands these otherwise you will undergo two rhinoplasties for correction if not discussed before surgery.  

Tip rhinoplasty is often less expensive than full rhinoplasty and can be performed under local anesthesia. Costs range from $2000 to $8000.

 In our practice, most patients require a full rhinoplasty, not just a tip rhinoplasty to make sure that all the components of the nose balance with themselves, and the entire nose  balances with the patient's facial features.  We do not recommend a tip plasty when there is a dorsal hump present. We also perform all tip rhinoplasty  And full rhinoplasty procedures under general anesthesia by a board-certified physician anesthesiologist for patient safety and comfort. It is extremely difficult to get the patient comfortable for a rhinoplasty procedure with injections in the nose and to perform the surgery for  tip support. A cartilage graft most likely would have to be harvested from the back of the nose and septum and then sewn into place along with tip for the support. The cost of a rhinoplasty is determined by the amount of time it takes to perform the procedure  in the operating room, the amount of time under anesthesia by an anesthesiologist, and the surgeon's professional fee for performing the rhinoplasty procedure.For many examples of full rhinoplasty under general anesthesia, and our current price list, please see the link and video below

  Hi, I have performed many Rhinoplasty surgeries over the past 30 years.  Yes, you can refine and work on just the nasal tip if that is your goal.  It often is the dorsal hump itself that is pushing the nasal tip downward, so it might be a bit more complicated than just adding support to your nasal tip if you want to leave the hump alone.  Noses tend to bleed making a Rhinopplasty under local ill advised.  You may want to send photos of your nose front and side for further review foillowed by a telephone or Skype consultation to discuss your best options.  Hope this helps.  

It is so rare that only tip work needs to be done that I would strongly suggest you post photos for our review.  You will probably be better off having a refinement of all of your nasal features to maintain balance and aesthetic shaping.  Discuss with a board certified plastic surgeon your goals and options and perhaps have him/her image your nose to give you an estimate of what it would appear like without balancing of your reatures vs with other aesthetic changes.  My guess is that you will choose the latter.  Good luck with your decision.

Dear hamsterundone, In some patients a tip-plasty may be possible however most of the time other components of a rhinoplasty are needed. Once you change one portion of the nose you alter the remainder of the nose and if you want a nice natural looking nose that looks similar to what you have now but refined, it is best to not restrict the surgeon to doing only a tip. During consultation you can have digital imaging done which will allow you to see your proposed result and if this is your desired result the surgeon can discuss with you exactly what will be done surgically to get the desired result. A procedure to improve your tip will cost a lot less than a full rhinoplasty but it is impossible to estimate the cost without seeing what is needed. Many times the tip plasty can be done under local anesthesia. Preferably an examination is possible, but I need to at least see a full set of pictures as described on my wesite.
