Question

Can a temporal brow lift change the shape of your eyes ? I have quite big eyes and eyelids so I would like to correct both in one time, and achieve an asian look more or less. Thank you. (I am a 29 years old female, white and have no health issues.)

Hello Azamay,  I would seek an in person consultation with an oculoplastic surgeon or a plastic surgeon experienced in shape altering eyelid surgery on healthy young people.  It looks like you are pulling up on the corners of your eyes.  This tilted up lateral corner is seen in many Asian women.  It is alluring.  It can make the eyes look a little smaller, but as you said, you have large eyes.  Best of luck.

Hello azamayTemple lifts are less invasive, they lift the outside corner or tail of the brow. A temple lift would not alter in between the brow or forehand but would lift the cheek and help stop sagging at the eye corners. Generally this process helps give a youthful appearance, since it can brighten the eyes and give your brows a nice shape.

Thank you for your question. The brow lift will address the outer part of the eyelids, but will not address the entire eye shape. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your question about brow lift. A brow lift is not likely to change the aperture of your eyes.  To address you eyelids and eye shape, consider eyelid surgery and/or lateral canthopexy or canthoplasty.To be sure what might be right for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment.

Azamay: a temporal browlift is designed to life the outer half of the eyebrow, which tends to arch them a bit more. The change you appear to want is to pull the corner of your eye straight towards you ear.  Thus, you would need to almost have skin excised from in front of your ear and pulled straight laterally to try to achieve this.  I would be concerned about being able to achieve good symmetry, and also think it would be hard to maintain that eye shape over time...it would probably relax.

Looks like you are trying to make your eyes more cat like by pulling them to the sides. You can elevate the brow with a temporal lift, but in order to make the changes it looks like you are trying to accomplish would require reattaching your lateral canthus. I would suggest you see an oculoplastic surgeon.

The brow lift can change the shape of your eyebrows and eyelids; If you want to narrow your eyes and make them more drawn out, you should focus on a lower lateral browlift that will tighten your eyelids laterally rather than pull superiorly.
