I do this treatment while the patients are on accutane it helps speed up the healing of the acne and improves scarring. Best, Dr. Emer.
Vbeam laser is an excellent modality for patients who have rosacea, blushing of the skin, facial and body telangiectasia, spider veins, redness, post surgical redness, and skin flushing. It is a safe procedure that can be used at varying depths to help treat micro blood vessels in the skin. We also use it in our office for facial skin inflammation, keloids, and hypertrophic scarring. It is an important part of scar therapy. Vbeam can be combined with chemical peels and other lasers, but experience with the treatment is essential. The Vbeam laser does not affect deeper tissue. Schedule a consultation with an expert in Vbeam and you will find it to be an excellent modality for many skin types. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
For most people it would be considered safe to use a non-ablative laser such as the VBeam 6 months after treatment with Accutane. I recommend consulting with a physician who has extensive experience with both Accutane and the Vbeam.
All of these lasers can rejuvenate the skin. The V-Beam is the gold standard for redness. If you are concerned with pigmentation you might prefer the Fraxel or Clear & Brilliant. Please consult a board certified dermatologist with experience with lasers for the best cosmetic results
Blistering is not a normal reaction for the Vbeam, I suggest seeing hour board certified dermatologist for wound care at this point. Best, Dr. Emer.
No reason to stop before, but stop for 3-4 days after as your skin can be sensitive or swollen after V BEAM, once this settles, start using the BPO again. All the bestDr Davin Lim Laser Dermatologist, BRISBANE, Australia.
