Sleep creases After Botox (photo)

Question

I got Botox on my forehead about 3 days and I woke up this morning with a vertical line..I think it's a sleep crease, on my forehead. Someone please tell me if this is going to go away.

It takes 2 weeks for botox to work on the forehead, I would wait till then to determine if you have any additional creases that may need treatment with more botox or fillers.  Best, Dr. Emer.

In general, it takes 2 weeks for botox to set in.  You can develop temporary sleep lines (permanent etched in sleep lines take years to develop) that are unrelated to the botox.  Chances are it has already resolved.  My other thought based on your picture was that maybe a tiny bruise developed and migrated down based on pressure of your pillow.  Either way, both scenarios should resolve.  Wait two weeks, and still if any concerns you can check in with your injector.

Did the line disappear shortly after your posting? I don’t see
the line in the photo provided, but I still don’t think you have any reason to
be worried. Neuromodulators, or “muscle relaxers” such as Botox, Dysport, and
Xeomin typically take at least 2-3 days to even start taking effect, which
leads me to believe the line is unrelated to your treatment. Temporary “creases”
can certainly form if you sleep on your face, and could be the case for the
line you are describing.

The full effect of your Botox should be seen approximately
7-10 days after your Botox treatment. If after this time period you are still
concerned with your results, I’m sure your injector would be happy to see you
for a follow-up. In order to minimize any concerns or complications, it is
always best to seek out treatment by a board certified Dermatologist. Best of
