Botox brow lift - eyelids stretched?

Question

I had botox for frown line (20 units) for the 3rd time in September and all fine. Went back for botox crows feet 5 weeks later & doctor suggested more for brows this time for more lift & added 11 units in total extra. When I smile skin on and around my eyelids bunches up - eyelids also feel tight & stretched. Will the skin on my eyelids be saggy when this wears off or will they go back to normal? And how long will this last considering additional dose was 5 weeks after original?

Results from botox typically last 3-4 months , this feeling you have should subside as the time goes on.  In the future a different injection pattern should be used.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for your question. The issue you describe is quite common.  The change in your dynamic expression subsequent to Botox can cause a different skin pattern than you are used to seeing. It will wear off in 3-4 months with no long term sequellae.Best wishes.

Thank you for your question and I am sorry to hear about your issues after Botox.  Treatment is self-limited and will wear off in 3-4 months after treatment returning your previous appearance.  You should not have any eyelid skin sagging at that time.  Hope this helps

Your eyelids and smile will absolutely return to the same place. If the Botox migrates inferiorly when injected around the eyes it can impact your smile by affecting the muscles below the eyelids.  Be patient and your complaints should resolve.

Botox can be a great option to lift the brows and show off the beautiful platform of the upper lid.It seem like the treatment you described show have worked to achieve this. Sometimes even more Botox is needed in the crows feet area to get the best result.The skin will absolutely return back its normal appearance after the Botox wears off, but I suggest you return to your practitioner and get their option if more Botox could be helpful in your situation.

The Botox will wear off in about 4 months.  At that time, your eyelids will almost certainly return to normal.  There should be no sagging to result from the current stretching.  In all likelihood, the additional units have resulted in non-treated areas becoming hyperactive which has then made your lids feel tight and stretched.  Again, no need to worry regarding any long term effects.  I am sorry that you are having to deal with this now though.  I hope this answer helps put you at ease a little bit.

The eyelids will likely go back to the way they were before botox. The movement may be due to compensation for the  muscles that were neutralized.

The botox will "wear off" in time - usually by 3-4 months after the injection and your face/smile should return to what it was before.
