Sleep Apnea like symptoms after nasal surgery?

I had a septoplasty, turbulence reduction and adenoid removal surgery earlier this month. Since then I've been waking up gasping for air every couple hours throughout the night! When I first had the surgery done I was waking up every 10 minutes which made me have a horrible bout of not sleeping for 6 whole days. Once I finally did sleep I woke up VERY delerious/confused. My nose has healed well and there no mucous or blood. These symptoms only began post surgery. What could be causing this?

Obstructive sleep apnea is a medical condition whereby the upper airway tissues collapse internally causing apneas (pauses in breathing for more than 10 seconds) and hypopneas (a drop in airflow leading to arousal or a drop in oxygenation).  Given the severity of the symptoms associated with OSA, it is important to continue using PAP or have airway surgery to improve the obstructive events during the healing period. The question of when to start CPAP after septoplasty is a conversation to be had between the operating surgeon and the patient given the severity of disease.

Dear ,I`ll be as clear as possible . After a septoturbinaoplasty and adenoid removal if you have had sleep apnoea you still need to have your sleep study done. Silent apnoea could still be present which more often is far worst than the normal one, because you are not even aware of it. Please see your sleep specialist as soon as possible.
 After these surgeries the airstream has changed but the AHI index might not have necessary changed.
