Will mucosa regrow over exposed bone in inferior turbinate?

Jen, great question.  There are a couple things here - first, without examining you, its really hard to say.  The reason why is because it all depends on the extent of exposed bone along the inferior turbinate.  The times that I have seen it has been at the entry site of the ablation device, where the doc may have focused too much of the energy.  In those cases I usually have my patients keep the nose moist with nasogel, and I find that I don't need to go in and "fix" anything for them.  That is a small surface area that then gets covered by the mucosal tissue.  Because it had been previously been ablated, it does take time for the mucosa to heal and proliferate.  That being said, it sounds like you are doing the right thing.  Keep following up with your doc so that they can monitor progress of the healing inside your nose.  Hopefully all the symptoms that you are experiencing will continue to improve and resolve.
