As Accent treatments are radio frequency treatments with no ablation of the skin and no need for regeneration of skin epidermis from sebaceous units, it is perfectly safe to have the Accent treatments whilst you are on such a low-dose accutane treatment regiment. Sincerely,Prof. BCK Patel MD, FRCS
I respect Prof. Patel's answer, but I would be hesitant to use RF on someone who is on Accutane. In theory, there is no need for the sebaceous glands to be functioning for RF, but it would be out of my comfort zone. I have seen a couple of burns after RF when performed by an inexperienced provider.
In theory, there should be no contraindication for the use of radio frequency treatments to areas of the body (not the breast) whilst breast-feeding. HOWEVER, surgeons are quite right to be ultra-safe and avoiding any cosmetic procedures, be they injections, fillers, lasers or radio-frequency...
Accent Laser emloys Radiofrequency (RF) energy to decrease cellulite and to tighten skin. Doctors usually recommend six treatments, and results can last up to 18 months.Rated 64% worth it on RealSelf as of this date. I prefer the VelaShape 3 for most areas which uses RF and Infrared.
