Risk of capsular contracture and teeth cleaning.

Thank you for your question.  Having your teeth cleaned before surgery is not a problem, especially 2 weeks before.  A dental cleaning can transiently allow bacteria into the bloodstream.  The bacteria is quickly cleared by the body and will not hang around.  After a breast augmentation is the one to be cautious with.  I recommend not having any dental work done for 6 weeks after breast augmentation surgery to prevent any bacteria that can enter the blood stream from reaching the implants.  After 6 weeks, the capsule around the implant is generally thick enough to prevent this.  Best of luck with your surgery.

This is a very good question.  The CDC recommendation states that is is not required or suggested but many plastic surgeons still suggest it based on experience.  It has been suggested for a long time due to the bio-film theory of causing CC.  Good Luck.

You are wise to have your teeth cleaned well before your augmentation. The teeth cleaning can cause a temporary release of bacteria into your blood stream. This bacteria however will be quickly removed and not be a problem 2 weeks later. On the contrary if you had you teeth cleaned during early healing phases of your augmentation the potential release of bacteria into your blood stream may play a role in the development of a capsular contracture.

Having your teeth cleaned 2 weeks before your surgery should be fine.  Most plastic surgeons will give you antibiotics before your surgery as well.  It would be a bigger concern to have your teeth cleaned two weeks after surgery.  I would discuss this with a board certified plastic surgeon.

It is safe to proceed with the planned  breast augmentation 2 weeks after your teeth are cleaned 

With 2 weeks between the procedures, you should be fine to get the breast augmentation surgery you have planned.
