If porcelain veneers are placed at or beyond the mucogingival junction, is this considered a biologic width violation?

7 months after veneers I am still in chronic pain. I am experiencing gum inflammation, and bleeding, extreme sensitivity, trouble chewing, chronic headaches, pain in face, facial numbness, hands numb, etc..My doctor only tells me he can do root canals to eliminate the pain. When I asked him why he placed the veneers so deep on my gums, he stated for aesthetic purposes, and if I did not like the appearance to contact a periodontist for a gum graft.
