With topical products like the ones you mentioned a good 3-6 months of consistent use is required before you will start seeing results, so you do have to be a little patient. However, these are products that I consistently recommend to my patients who present with your same concerns about winkles under the eye. Hopefully your provider or skin care specialist educated you properly on use of tretinoin and what to expect the first few weeks. Often times, when starting a topical retinoid routine, your skin can be a little dry and irritated at first, which likely is causing the increased crepiness you are noticing. Typically when I'm starting my patients on a topical retinoid, I recommend to start use of the product gradually, using it every third or every other night as tolerated. Slowly work up to every night and pair it with a good moisturizer or under eye cream. This should help with some of the things you are experiencing. Stay consistent with the product for a few months and you should start seeing results!
