Will my nostrils even out after revision rhinoplasty? I'm 4.5 months post op.

Hello doctors, I had a revision rhinoplasty done 4.5 months ago.. and my nostrils are so uneven. They were not like this when I got my cast off or before rhinoplasty. Why did this happen? Is it swelling? Will it go away? Also, at almost 5 months post opp of a revision rhinoplasty how much swelling do I likely have, in general, and is what I see now close to my final result or will it change a lot? I loved my nose sooooo much when I got my cast off but it has changed.

The nostrils of any person are not symmetric.  The key is to make nostrils as symmetric as possible without making them look 'surgical.'  Nostrils tend to look VERY asymmetric immediately post-op because they are swollen and out of position. However, over time, they will become less obviously different.  I tend to tell patients to use retainers if this occurring.

You will likely require a nasal tip columellar rib graft to improve columellar retraction and deviation. this can be obtained from an organ donation bank.
