My nose job is horrible. It's too small and thin. What can I do to fix it? (Photo)

Hi Kim,Sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your recent rhinoplasty.  Best to direct your concerns about the results to this point with your rhinoplasty surgeon.  You should not do anything to your nose for at least 9 to 12 months.  Hopefully you will like your nose better as time goes by.  Your experience emphasizes how important it is to be absolutely positive that your rhinoplasty surgeon and you understand your aesthetic rhinoplasty goals, and that your surgeon is committed to helping you achieve those goals. Hello,It is too early to see your results as final and like all the other surgeons have recommended , wait for the swelling to go down.  Take pictures and this will allow you to see the changes that occur with time and when that time comes and no further changes occur you can see if its the nose you want.  Time will also give you a chance to get used to your new face, since this kind of surgery can sometimes be difficult to adjust to.  Dr. Chow

Thank you very much for enquire.It's too early to make value judgments with only ten days after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Rhinoplasty swelling too soon to make a determination.It will take one year before you see the final result of your nose so try to be patient until then. If you are still dissatisfied a revision can be done then.

Dear kimturner623, First of all sorry for your dissatisfaction with your recent surgery. I can certainly see some of your concerns at this time. It is so important during patient consultation that the patient and the surgeon are on the same page with the proposed results so that revision surgery is never a needed option. With all of that said, please address your current concerns with your surgeon so that he/she may walk you through the recovery process and hang in there, Michael V. Elam, M.D. 

You need to give yourself time for the healing process to complete before considering revision.  This in general takes a full year.  By that time most of the swelling has resolved and the tissues are stable.  If you are unhappy at one year; I am sure something can be done to improve the outcome.  Good luck.  Donald R.
