Is this a mole or a pimple? (Photo)

Question

I have this thing on my leg since 2014. At the beginning I thought it was a dark spot, then a mole and now, after 5 years, I am not sure what this is. I am worried. Can anyone help me?

For any changing growth on the skin, an in-person evaluation with a board-certified dermatologist is essential.  It is impossible to determine a diagnosis with a appropriate degree of certainty from the photograph you have provided.  A board-certified dermatologist can assess the lesion with both the naked eye and a magnifying device called a dermatoscope to increase the accuracy of diagnosis and biopsy or remove the lesion if necessary.
