Should I take the Mirena IUD out before I proceed with the V-beam laser procedure?

Hi, I am considering a V-Beam laser session for telangiectasias on my facial cheeks. I have heard that any major birth control switch up can put my cheeks back in the red later on. I have a Mirena Hormonal IUD that is due to be taken out in 6 months as it reaches its 5 year mark.
