It takes several weeks for laser results to settle. I recommend following up with your Doctor for after care. I recommend skin care with vitamin c, b5 hydrator, silicone based scar gels with growth factors and enzymatic washes with papaya enzyme. PDT therapy can help calm inflammation. Typically I recommend adding clear and brilliant, fraxel, viva 4-6 weeks after co2 to improve results along with microneedling/prp to get the best outcomes with texture and tone. It is not unusual to get sebaceous adenoma or milia after CO2 resurfacing. If you are seen within the first week to ten days they can often be removed with an enzyme mask, like papaya. Be sure to follow up with your laser dermatologist to be sure there is no infection. If the bumps persist they may be individually removed with a KTP, or 532 superficial laser or a light micro-needling treatment. It takes 6 months for CO2 to totally remodel so be patient and keep in touch with your physician.

Thank you for your question. Before every CO2 treatment, I numb each patient with lidocaine for 30 minutes and then begin the treatment. You dont need a strong pain medicine and the treatment takes about 30 minutes to complete a full face.
