How long does it take the lines from Ultherapy to go away? (Photo)

Question

I got Ultherapy 8 days ago and still have these lines along my jaw on both sides (the left is worse than the right). My doctor said that the lines are due to using the 1.5 shallow piece, and prescribed a steroid topical. Will these lines go away? And, how long can I expect it to take? Is this common? I’m having a hard time finding information. Any information and helpful advice will be appreciated.

Those are common when the provider uses the most superficial transducer 1.5 mm and is normal! Those should be resolving by now and if not please contact your provider. Best of luck!

Yes, these can sometimes happen after using the most superficial 1.5mm transducer. They usually go away in a couple of weeks. Best wishes.

These should fade in the next several weeks. Keep in mind, a combination approach gives the most improvement with Ultherapy. In my practice, we combine Ultherapy with radiofrequency treatments, lasers, microneedling/PRP, or Sculptra to get increased collagen, tightening, and improved skin tone. Thank you for your question and photo.  Your skin will feel sore to touch after treatment for the next week.  Swelling and soreness means inflammation which means the treatment is working.  The lines are transient and will pass.  You have had an aggressive treatment and will have great results.
