How long after Fraxel can I fly?

You are fine to fly after treatment. We use a specific protocol of exfoliation, hydration, and moisturizing along with protection after laser treatments. PDT therapy can calm any inflammation and PRP can speed up the healing. I always combine lasers with microneedling/prp to get more of an outcome. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

If you have your treatment without any type of anesthesia or sedation, there should be no problem with you flying the same day as your treatment. However, I would discuss your plans with the doctor performing your procedure to know for sure. Make sure your doctor is board certified and has extensive experience in fractionated laser treatments to ensure an optimal outcome. 

In most cases, it is completely safe to fly after a Fraxel treatment. The only exceptions would be if you were given sedating medication or had another procedure performed at the same time. Fraxel is a minimally-invasive procedure that does not require any downtime. Make sure you protect your skin from sun damage after treatment, and your skin should heal quickly. I would recommend double-checking with the doctor performing the treatment to be sure there is not a circumstance that might change your timetable. 

As long as you are not having any additional procedures or sedating medication, you should be fine to fly the same day as a Fraxel treatment. Make sure you are working with an experienced, board-certified dermatologist and double-check with your doctor to make sure there are no additional circumstances that might affect the safety of your travels.

You absolutely can fly after Fraxel.  Fraxel is a "magic eraser" that removes all of the sun damage.  It's fantastic and has little down time. You can fly right after, as long as it is the Fraxel dual and just remember to moisturize and use sun screen afterwards.  Best, Dr. Green

If all you are getting done is a fraxel you are just fine to fly the same day. There are different fraxel lasers and some patients want to have sedation, so that may make a difference. It is best to talk to you PS to make sure they agree that is okay as they know exactly what you are having done. 

Yes, you can fly after Fraxel treatment. Just keep your skin moist and out of the sun. Have safe flight home!
