I'm considering both surgery + laser + trying to plan as I know all of this will involve a lot of down time. I prefer first doing the face/neck lift, then doing the fraxel + curious the wait time between the two + when the skin (especially thin neck skin) can safely handle Fraxel? Thanks!
Answer: Fraxel Treatment after Facelift Typically, patients do not have to wait more than a few short weeks after a surgical lift to undergo Fraxel laser treatment. However, I would discuss the specifics with your plastic surgeon to determine whether there are any extenuating circumstances that would warrant waiting longer in your case. Once you are ready to schedule your Fraxel treatment, make sure you are working with a board-certified dermatologist who is aware of your previous surgery. That way, you can rest assured your laser treatment will be both safe and as successful as possible.

Answer: Fraxel after Facelift Hello and thank you for your question. It is actually possible to have Fraxel at the same time as your surgical lift, which can reduce the amount of recovery time you need to schedule. This approach also allows you to see your full outcome after a single treatment session. Combining treatments can also save you some money, as you are only charged for one round of anesthesia and one surgical suite. However, if you need an intense laser treatment for deep lines, this combined approach is not safe. We would generally have you wait 3-6 months after surgery for your procedure. Be sure to find a board-certified dermatologist experienced in lasers for the best and safest results.

Answer: You don't have to wait Thanks for your question! Sounds like you have some exciting plans coming up. In general, it is common to do both laser treatment and a facelift at the same time. The benefits of doing this method is that you only have one recovery for both procedures. Additionally, since you will be numbed up for the facelift, you also will have good anesthesia for the laser portion. Not all surgeons have the supplies or ability to do both at the same time, but most do and it is a common treatment option. If you really want to separate the treatments apart, please discuss the duration and timing with your surgeon. Different surgeons and different facelift methods used will give you a different timeline to follow. FRAXEL is a generally weak or "soft" laser treatment, and there may be other options as well depending on your needs and goals. Hope that helps! Warm regards.

Answer: Fraxel and Facelift Typically patients can have a Fraxel a month or 6 weeks after a facelift. The facelift must heal completely before you can have the Fraxel laser done. The Fraxel laser is the ideal laser to get rid of the sun damage and leave you with beautiful clear skin. Please consult an expert in Fraxel for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green

Answer: How long after face/neck lift can you do Fraxel laser? This is best discussed with your PS as they will know best what is being done and if it is safe to combine the laser treatment or some sort of chemical peel at the time of the facelift. To be safe, I would wait 4-6 weeks between the facelift and the laser as the Fraxel laser can be done over your facelift scars too!
