CO2 laser resurfacing is an outstanding treatment that can address multiple
aspects of aging in a single treatment. For redness one can use any vascular laser such as pulsed dye, KTP, or IPL. I perform this on the same day as a fractional CO2 laser for my patients. I treat redness after a fractional CO2 treatment approximately one month after the treatment. Please

Thank you for your question.  After fractionated CO2, a month should be adequate time to treat red scars.  The Excel V and Pulsed Dye Laser will be far superior to IPL to treat scars.  We have all 3 devices and by far and away we have seen the best and fastest results with the Excel V, we now consider it the new gold standard for anything red or vascular.  Regards, Dr. Matt Elias
