What is the best laser for my skin type? Asian/Yellow skin tone with black hair.

I'm planning on doing laser hair removal for my upper lip. I have PCOS which sucks, I don't know how many sessions will I have to go through. The clinic that I'm going to uses Candela GentleMax Pro and Alma Soprano XL Diode.

Any type of diode or Yag are useful for you.  Alex would be my last choice but they are all safe.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi Zoe.  Both of the TYPES of laser under consideration are reasonable for your skin type.  In Asian skin, we prefer the Diode laser, but would also consider the Alexandrite (which is in the Candela). Either laser works for Asian skin. A test spot is recommended to see your individual response.
