Large red bumps after laser hair removal still present 2 weeks after treatment (Photo)

Question

I had laser hair removal on my stomach. The first day there was some swelling but by the third day I had these red bumps with puss that have gotten worse. The hairs are not ingrown but the reaction seems to be similar. The area is sensitive and has a slight burning sensation. Will this cause scarring? It looks terrible.

These look worrisome for an infection. Some small red "bumps" and mild itching is common after laser hair removal but should go away after several days. The presence of pus and pain is also concerning. I would definitely let your provider know what is going on and see a doctor, you may need either topical or oral antibiotics. Good luck.
