If you use the solution formation of minoxidil, the FDA approved dose is 1 mL. This translates to approximately 25 drops. But the dose is 1 mL. Be sure to see your dermatologist to review if you're doing it right.

It has to do with the size of your balding area.  Some people need to use more minioxidil than others.  However, if you are not sure which area you have to cover, you need to talk to your doctor.
