Thanks for your question. This will not be an issue, but please mention the sleep apnea condition with your surgeon during consultation.
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Please talk to your primary doctor to get clearance for plastic surgery and then I suggest you book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss the best options for your goals.Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
Sleep apnea is a common condition. It should not get in the way of having an elective procedure. If the procedure is done with sedation is supposed to Generren is the show there are some increased risk factors during the procedure. If done with an anesthesiologist there should be minimal increase risk.Hopefully your sleep apnea is being treated.Sleep apnea is in my opinion a serious condition that has significant long-term consequences.hopefully you're using a CPAP.Best,Mats HagstromMD
Sleep apnea is not a contraindication to surgery nor to BBL. You will have to take precautions so that your breathing is not compromised following surgery. Please make a consultation to discuss details.
Dear Ms. Charon91,Thank you for your questions.Sleep apnea per sae will not affect your surgeon technically. What matters is the total amount of anesthesia used how long it takes to wear off,and how severe your sleep apnea is. I suggest you make several different consultative appointments with experienced Plastic Surgeons who are Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and who are ideally members of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (denoting by membership as having met additional criteria and a focus on Cosmetic Plastic Surgery). After you have chosen your Plastic Surgeon I would have you talk with Anestheologist prior to your surgery and discuss your sleep apnea history and current treatment.
