I think I just discovered cold sore treatment with IPL.

I had a cold sore, a really small one on my lower lips but it still tingly and annoying. This morning I got IPL treatment and the laser light go over my upper lips area. Right after the IPL I noticed my lower lips had a red spot. It was my cold sore dried out and red from the dry blood. Now, it's about 2:45 pm and my cold sore and tingleness is totally gone. My 2nd day of cold sore out break and it usually last for 7or 10 days.WOW! Did I just discovered the fastest way to get rid off cold sore?

Actually topicals like retinoids and such are great when used properly in conjunction with IPL because they can help your cells turnover at a much better and faster rate. I tell my patients not to use these topicals the day of treatment, and perhaps the day after IPL if they feel at all...

Hello, I do not recommend IPL for the treatment of veins under eyes. Like others have stated below, it is important to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for laser treatment. Best of luck to you.

I have found that clear + brilliant laser and microneedling to improve skin after other procedures have made it appear worse.  I suggest a formal consultation with a laser specialist.  Best, Dr. Emer.
