There is always a risk of injury to the eyes and you want to make sure that this risk is minimized. Long pulsed 1064 nm laser is a better choice than IPL for this particular treatment but it must be performed by someone with a great deal of experience.

I love IPL/BBL devices but are usually not great for blue veins under the eyes. I treat a lot of under eye veins and use the Sciton Nd:YAG 1064 laser. You need an experienced doc for these veins as around the eyes you need to be very very careful to avoid eye injury
