Is topical Vit A in it various forms contraindicated prior to IPL?

there are many doctors that restrict the use of vitamin a products and pills prior to lasers and peels. it def can make your skin more sensitive , but I have never had a problem treating my patients who are on these medications.  Please speak to your cosmetic dermatologist.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Actually topicals like retinoids and such are great when used properly in conjunction with IPL because they can help your cells turnover at a much better and faster rate. I tell my patients not to use these topicals the day of treatment, and perhaps the day after IPL if they feel at all sensitive. But by properly trained professionals, these accompany IPL very well.
