I've read on this site that oral isotretinoin is contraindicated up to a year prior to IPL because it is photo-sensitizing. Is there a similar contraindication prior to IPL for the various topical retinoids such as: retinal, retinyl acetate, retinyl palmitate, retinol, retinoic acid? What about topical beta carotene? These various forms of Vit A are often included in many skin care products.

Hello, I do not recommend IPL for the treatment of veins under eyes. Like others have stated below, it is important to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for laser treatment. Best of luck to you.
I have found that clear + brilliant laser and microneedling to improve skin after other procedures have made it appear worse. I suggest a formal consultation with a laser specialist. Best, Dr. Emer.
I often combine skin care with all my laser and light treatments. Please consult your physician who should have an appropriate post operative plan for you and your series of treatments. Best, Dr. Emer.
