Hi Cynt1,Thanks for your question. Photos are definitely needed to assess the issue you have. But if you still have fluid after lipo one year after, you will need removal either via a syringe but more than likely surgery to cut the seroma out. Again, you need to see your plastic surgeon to make sure that you taken care. Nothing you can do will make it go away. Good Luck. I suggest posting photos, as I cannot give advise without assessment. It is normal to have swelling several months after liposuction but not normal to have much fluid. I have all my patients do lymphatic massage and hyperbaric oxygen to ensure no seromas. A seroma would appear or be felt when there was a shift in fluid when tapping on one side of the abdomen.
