You need to be observed in recovery for at least an hour or so before leaving. Please look at plastic surgeon credentials before just selecting one based upon price. Find a board certified plastic surgeon who has performed thousands of BBLs and has hundreds of pictures on his or her website. Kenneth Hughes, MDBeverly Hills, CA
Yes - almost all patients go home right after a BBL. Living an hour away is okay as well. Some surgeons may recommend a donut to sit on for comfort and cushion. If your plastic surgeon performs very high volume liposuction then he/she may recommend a night's stay to monitor your fluid levels, but this is something you can discuss with them.Best of luck and hope this information helps!- Dr. Roger Tsai
Thank you for your question. In most cases, you should be able to go home after your BBL. This is a safe procedure that is very well tolerated with moderate postoperative pain. However there are a few circumstances where your plastic surgeon may want you to stay for a night- these include very large volume liposuction or if there are any issues with anesthesia. I would make sure to ask your plastic surgeon about this just to put your mind at ease.Good luck with your surgery!Dr. Seth
Hi, thanks so much for your inquiry. It is safe if you are not driving. You might use a donut pillow to avoid putting pressure in your buttocks. Still, I advise to talk to your surgeon about all your doubts. Good luck in your PS Journey!Respectfully,Dr. Jaime Campos-Leon

Hello and thank you for your question. Depending on how the fat is processed and where it is transferred, you can expect between 60-80% of the fat to live. For optimal fat graft survival, it is important for it to be handled gently when obtained through liposuction and then placed in a ...
I would be careful going into a big procedure like this with out taking some extra precautions. Check the flora of your skin and use hibiclens or chlorhexidene to change your skin flora. You should be ok after this
