Darker skin, like yours, would have the safest and most effective result with a long pulsed nd yag laser. It is important to find an experienced laser hair removal center owned and operated by a physician. You should have a consultation priot to your treatment to be sure you are a good candidate for laser hair removal. Be sure to find a medical office that offers individual treatments, not a pre-paid series. 

I'd be cautious getting LHR with you darker skin type for risk of getting more hair growth. The reason this happens is not clear and it usually occurs in people of Mediterranean heritage. If you get LHR, it should be a 1064 laser. I'd recommend Vaniqa. Even in lighter skin individuals, these areas are not well treated because the hairs are thinner than the underarm and bikini area and therefore don't pick up the heat from the laser well.
