I had Lipo of flanks, lower back, upper and lower abdomen along with Mini Tummy Tuck with muscle repair. It's been 2 1/2 weeks and garment becomes tight and uncomfortable during the night. I'm unable to sleep and not sure if pain medications should be used for this reason. I'm scheduled to return to work in a week and if I'm not sleeping well it'll affect my performance.

Answer: Garment after Lipo Thank you for your question. It is normal for the garment to feel a bit tighter at night due to swelling that accumulates throughout the day when you are being more active. I would check with your doctor as to what they suggest you take to help you sleep at night. Perhaps an anti-inflammatory, or sleeping aid instead of your prescription pain medication. You can also try to avoid foods with high sodium content. Good Luck.

Answer: Garment tighter at night due to swelling It is normal for the garment to feel tighter at night. This is due to the swelling which gets worse at the day goes on. Speak with your surgeon about what you could take to help you sleep. I don't think that prescription pain meds are the best option. Also, make sure that your garment fits properly and isn't too tight in general. Best of luck.
