Can I have FFS before getting on HRT?

Though most of the transitioning patients I see are usually on HRT, I do not object to doing FFS before starting on the HRT. Since a more feminine “unilook” is becoming the norm now anyway, I have made suggestions and operated on both cis-males, trans-females and evening cis-females who wanted to look more feminine!

Although many FFS patients typically have received some hormonal therapy prior to having FFS, it’s perfectly reasonable to have FFS before hormonal therapy as well. Advantage of this approach is it will give you the quickest transformation.

Based on my 46 year career of FFS surgery i have found that hormones give a softening of the skin along with texture changes but have no affect on the bone and nose and structural part of the face. You can have many structural components wither before or after hormone therapy. Look for a very experienced FFS surgeon who has natural results without the overdone look and read the reviews.
