About 6 months ago i got a nose job and I kind of regret having it.I just wanted to change my profile because I didn't like my crooked nose. The procedure wasn't a really big thing I just got a small hump in my bridge removed and the tip was lift and reduced a little bit. In pictures it looks wider, and i don't feel it feets my face as good as my old nose did. I know i can't get exactly what I had before, but I'd like to get some of its caracteristics back.

Answer: Can I get some of the features of my old nose back with revision rhinoplasty? It's impossible to go back to what the nose used to look like. It's also important to wait at least one year before electing to undergo another revision procedure on the nose to allow the entire process of healing to be complete before embarking on another procedure. Communication with your surgeon is of the utmost importance because revision rhinoplasty is more difficult than a primary rhinoplasty.

Answer: Reasons to regret Your work is very very poor, you need better advise and better surgical skills.Your surgeon has shaven or trimmed ONLY the soft part of your dorsal hump... why so? unexplainable to me... unless he is not trained or skilled in rhinos... why did he leave intact the bony hump? I can't believe these things happen, it is not a mistake but a neglect, he just passed by.As an obvious consequence of not shaving the bony part of the dorsum and not performing osteotomies you got 2 major deformities needing remedial revision:-deeply suken supratip, a hollow depresion above the tip and below the bony dorsum-pinched middle vault and inverted V deformityYou did not get an open roof because no roof was open! your hump is intact!Additionally the tip was poorly worked, just a slight touch; did you research about your surgeon's training and skills in noses? seems to me your surgeon was afraid to do a nose and did like but wihtout doing... I mean... you don't have technical errors in your nose... you just received a well performed 20% of a basic rhinoplasty! You need a revision to get the missing 80% of your nice rhinoplasty and eventually fixing the poorly shaped 20%, and not a reversion. Seek the advice of a very good revision specialist; difficulty 6 out of 10 in revision rhinoplasties or, alternatively, 8 out of 10 in primary noses; surgical time 3 hours. If you wish better grounded opinion please do post or send privately well lit, focused and standard images: frontal, both lateral and both oblique views, also underneath the nostrils. Feel free to request any additional information from me.

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty: healing before deciding Revision rhinoplasty is a surgery to improve the shape of your nose for breathing or appearance after a previous nose surgery. Recovering from your rhinoplasty is a healing process.Part of that process is waiting for swelling to go down to see your result. In the first 6-8 weeks the majority of swelling will go down. Over the next 6-9 months you'll experience a downward trending rollercoaster of swelling going up and down depending on your exposure to heat, sun, or salt. At one year, you're close to your final result; however, the nose is known to continue healing and refining by very small amounts for years after that. I would give your first rhinoplasty at least a year to heal before evaluating your nose for revision. It will be a safer surgery at that point. Safety comes first.
