Eye lid exposure & hollowing - Fillers in the brow area - Dangerous?

Question

I got severe upper eye lid exposure and hollowing. I saw amazing results with dermal fillers injected into the brow area to cover the upper eyelids a bit. This is exactly what I want - how dangerous is it? Is it possible to turn blind? Lumps? Also, for the exposed under eye area (no orbital rim support) - I would want to get fillers as well. Same questions there - risks of blindness, nerve damage etc. there?

I think doing fat grafting using a blunt, side-port cannulae to the peri-orbital (around the eyes) regions, including above and below the eyebrow area, can create some dramatic volume changes that are long-lasting.

there are risk wtih every fillers such as swelling, lumps, unhappieness. and in this area there is risk of blindness.  with that said, with a very skilling physician, the risks are minimal and with cannula injection you can get substantial improvement.  Best, Dr. Emer.

It is important to see a specialist (oculoplastics) for filler injection in the upper eyelid/brow area. It is a very safe procedure when done correctly.  Also, best to use a soft hyaluronic acid gel filler such Belotero. See link below.

Treatment of eyelid hollowing and risks? The risks you mentioned are all possible though blindness is extremely rare. I would need to see photographs to determine what would be the best treatment for your problem. Seei an experienced surgeon for the best results.

Injecting around should be done by an experienced surgeon. You should ask to see examples of results of patients similar to you. Soft hyaluronic acid last 6 to 12 months. Firmer, longer lasting injectables have more risk of lumps. Risks are possible but extremely rare. Fat transfer has more initial swelling but results will last many years when performed by an expert.

The injection of fillers or fat are excellent techniques to improve the contour and fullness to establish the desired appearance of  youthful eyelids.  There are risks in every procedure; blindness has been reported but it is very, very rare; I don't know any surgeon who has had this problem. Consult with an experienced physician.
