Can I get Emsculpt after BBL?

Question

I just got BBL 3.5 weeks ago and would like to get EMSculpt at some point to build muscle as well. How long do I need to wait after the BBL surgery so I don't jeopardize the fat? My surgeon does not have experience with EMSculpt so he really couldn't comment on my question.

EMSculpt is pretty awesome at building muscle, and in the buttocks it won't reduce the fat, so you should be good to have a treatment after your BBL has fully healed. I would think 8-12 weeks should be fine. Everyone uses their buttock muscles every day. EMSculpt just uses them in a way that we can't. It causes HYPERcontractions. Yes, we have many clients who get EMSculpt after a BBL to further optimize their results. Practice will vary between surgeons, but usually anywhere between 6-12 weeks should be OK. The protocols we use for the buttocks do not affect the fat and are focused on building muscle only. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician. Best wishes.

Thank you for your question. Emsculpt treatment on the buttocks after a BBL procedure is fine, however, a recent surgery is a contraindication to the treatment. Therefore, I would wait at least 12 weeks after the BBL to try the Emsculpt treatment. Emsculpt treatments help build muscles while also burning fat. Please seek a certified health care provider to determine if you are an ideal candidate for the procedure.

Thank you for your question. It is safe to perform Emsculpt following a BBL. I would wait 10-12 weeks so that the results of your BBL can fully be evaluated. It takes 2-3 months for any fat cells that have not survived to be resorbed by the body. If you were to do the Emsculpt sooner than this, you may feel that it is destroying the fat cells that simply have not been resorbed yet.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

Thank you for your questions, it looks like you’re in luck! Emsculpt is a non-invasive treatment that actually builds muscle without burning fat. The treatment tightens and tones the buttocks resulting in a firmer plumped rear! However I would wait at least 6 month post op to get this procedure. Please make sure you seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.
