Do I have DUPA hair loss? Can see scalp on sides of head. (Photos)

I noticed that my donor area is thinner than 10 years. Now i can see my scalp on the sides of my head. I wanted to get a hair transplant to hide the general thinning on the top of my head. I am really worried about having DUPA and to not be a good candidate. What do you think? Thank you

It is very difficult to fix a bad hair transplant, cobble stoning, or scarring.  Scar removing gels will not likely help.  Unfortunately there is no clear solution to the scarring.

It is very difficult to fix a bad hair transplant or un-do a hair transplant.  If you are regretting this, it is important to contact your doctor.  You may be able to use laser to diminish the hair growth on your face (but that defeats the purpose of why you had the surgery in the first place).

If you are losing hair and want treatment options you should schedule a consultation with a doctor for the exact reason of possibly losing more hair in the future.  You need an examination and a face to face discussion of what to expect with the realistic results your doctor can provide.

Hair transplant surgery is not about "how many grafts" you need, but about how a doctor can match your goals and expectations.  You may look like a Norwood 3 but even with 2000 grafts you may not be happy because your "expectations" may not be realistic.

Transplanted hair is just as secure as your normal healthy hair when it grows out.  If you keep pulling on your hair you will eventually pluck it out.

You cannot dislodge a graft one month after surgery.  Grafts are usually secure within the first few days.
